Reconnecting With Nature: Trinity Forestry Campfire 2025

On the 21st and 22nd of March 2025, Trinity Forestry Services Ltd, in partnership with Asili Kwanza and Think Greener, successfully hosted a transformative two-day environmental event :The Night Campfire and Tree Planting Campaign—that brought together passionate individuals, Institutions and students from across Uganda.

Set against the serene backdrop of Nganjo Village-Luweero district, the event kicked off on Friday evening (21/March/2025) with a soulful Night Campfire gathering. Under the starlit sky, attendees shared powerful stories, participated in insightful environmental discussions, and enjoyed vibrant eco-themed performances. A quiz on sustainability and a landscape restoration masterclass added an educational twist to the event, while brief speeches from environmental leaders inspired everyone to continue advocating for a greener future.

The energy carried into the next morning as the group journeyed to Lazarus Forest – Bethany Land Institute, nestled in the lush greenery of the Nandele-Luweero District. There, participants rolled up their sleeves for a day of meaningful action; planting 1500 assorted indigenous trees to help restore the forest ecosystem and combat the effects of climate change. The collective spirit of the day was palpable, with students and environmentalists alike digging, planting, and learning side by side.

This campaign not only contributed to tangible ecological restoration but also deepened connections between individuals and nature. It was a space for learning, bonding, and reflection, reminding us that sustainability starts with small -united actions.

A special thank you goes out to all the participants for their active role and unwavering enthusiasm. Your commitment to environmental stewardship was a driving force behind the success of this event.

As we reflect on these moments, we are reminded that the work of conservation is ongoing and together, we can nurture a more sustainable world.
